About

What this is

aiquant.wiki is a neutral reference for the term "AI quant" — published under the name AI Quant.The phrase is used for three very different things — institutional machine learning, retail tooling, and a hype layer with almost no technical substance. This site separates them, defines what the term should mean, and gives criteria anyone can apply.

Why it exists

Search the term and you get results that do not describe the same thing. The people who genuinely work with these methods rarely use the phrase; the people who market to you use it constantly. Without a definition, the label gets captured by whoever shouts loudest.

A conclusion without a process cannot be checked — so this site is about process: what counts, what does not, and how to tell.

Who runs this

This site is run by the team behind ashareapi.com, and the guides call our own API.

The definition, the criteria, and the steps in the guides describe a method only: the data contract is stated, so any source that honours it gives the same result.

The rules this site follows

RuleWhat it means here
Long-form pages cite sourcesThe definition, standards and guide pages link to public sources — regulators, research, platform documentation. Glossary entries are definitional and are not individually cited. Nothing is invented.
The definition pages stay neutralReference pages sell nothing — no affiliate links, no product placement, no call to buy. Platforms are named only as examples, never as recommendations. The authority of a definition comes from its neutrality.
No return promisesNo stock picks, no performance claims. Describing how something works is not the same as promising what it earns.
Code computes, the model narratesWhere numbers appear, they come from code you can re-run.

What this is not

This is not investment advice. It does not recommend what to buy or sell, and it does not promise any result. It is a reference for understanding the technology and evaluating claims made about it.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it should be fixed. The criteria on the standards page apply to this site as much as to anyone else.

To report a correction, email corrections@aiquant.wiki with:

  • the page URL;
  • the sentence or number you believe is wrong;
  • what you think it should say, and your source.

Every report gets a reply. When a page changes, we say what changed and when.
